First Official Look at Clint Eastwood’s ‘Hereafter’

Warner Bros. has unveiled a new batch of images from their upcoming Fall 2010 slate including looks at Ben Affleck’s The Town, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Zack Snyder’s owl movie Legend of the Guardians, Life as We Know It, the new Todd Phillips comedy Due Date and Yogi Bear. However, the most guarded film of their upcoming list of films is Clint Eastwood’s new drama Hereafter and just above is the first look at Bryce Dallas Howard and Matt Damon in the new flick.

Despite early reports calling it a supernatural film in the vein of The Sixth Sense I was told by Warner Bros. only yesterday they will be referring to it strictly as a drama as the film tells the story of three people who are haunted by mortality in different ways.

Damon stars as George, a blue-collar American who has a special connection to the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie (Cecile de France), a French journalist, has a near-death experience that shakes her reality. And when Marcus (Frankie and George McLaren), a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately needs answers. Each on a path in search of the truth, their lives will intersect, forever changed by what they believe might–or must–exist in the hereafter.

Also starring in the film are Jay Mohr, Marthe Keller, Frankie McLaren, George McLaren, Thierry Neuvic and Derek Jacobi.

Hereafter is set to hit theaters on October 22. For a larger look at the image above click here.
