I loved it and have already seen it twice, but I can’t help but wonder just how well it’s going to do at the box-office. In Laremy’s Oracle article he said he compared it to The Matrix, in trying to figure out the numbers myself, I looked to Shutter Island (another movie with Leo and a name director) and bumped it up a bit based on the fact Nolan directed The Dark Knight. Yet, I still came out with an estimate of only $58,776,000 for the three-day. It’s an interesting movie and I hope it holds on week after week… I guess the question is, are you going to see Inception this weekend?
This film is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action throughout.
I had a hell of a time with this review because I liked the movie, but I didn’t want to sound overly excited just as much as I didn’t want to sound too harsh. This is a really fun film, and it is one of those films that a RottenTomatoes rating really doesn’t work. You can’t be 50/50 “fresh” or “rotten” because while it isn’t some great masterpiece it also isn’t a dog. If you want some fun family action give it a look.
This film is rated PG for fantasy action violence, some mild rude humor and brief language.
I know nothing about this movie, but it is being released in 623 theaters so I added it to the database just in case it cracks the top ten at the box-office this weekend. It won’t, but you can never be too safe.
