It’s been impossible for me to get into Summit’s Twilight “saga” and Eclipse was no different. However, what I think hardly matters in this case as this film is going to do big bucks… At this point it’s simply a matter of figuring out just how high it will go.
This film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence, and some sensuality.
Looking around the Internet and reading the reviews, I’m sorry, but people are being way too harsh on this film. Sure, I gave it a “C-“ and wrote some really negative things, but acting as if this is the worst film of the year and pummeling Shyamalan as if he commit a felony is ludicrous. I would watch this film again well before films such as Robin Hood, Cop Out and several other films. To call this the worst film of the year and hold some sort of ill will against it seems a bit odd to me, but that’s pretty much how mob mentality works, and with a RottenTomatoes rating of 8% that’s exactly what we’re dealing with.
This film is rated PG for fantasy action violence.
This film was only screened for critics in select cities and with 33 reviews counted at RottenTomatoes it sits at a 15% rating. With one of the few positive reviews coming from Hollywood Reporter‘s Kirk Honeycutt I’m instantly skeptical, which is just a shame since I had high hopes for this one. It’s still a film I want to see, though I’m not sure when it’s coming to Seattle. For the moment my expectations are merely lowered, but I’m still hoping for the best.
This film is rated R for sexual content, pervasive language and some violence.
