Apple has debuted the trailer for Sofia Coppola’s fourth feature length film, Somewhere starring Stephen Dorff, Elle Fanning and Chris Pontius.
The film is set to be released by Focus Features on December 22 in an obvious attempt at Oscar nominations and I expect it to debut at either the Venice or Toronto Film Festival or both (praying it will be at Toronto because I will be there as well). The feature is described as an intimate story set in contemporary Los Angeles; Johnny Marco (Dorff) is a bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood. With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Fanning), Johnny is forced to look at the questions we must all confront.
