I can’t wait to finally see Splice next week in advance of its June 4 release. I unfortunately missed the first screenings of it while I was in Cannes and have already heard it’s a pretty decent thriller, and that it especially rises above others like it thanks to having true talent in front of the camera as opposed to just generic Abercrombie and Fitch teens.
Today I added 14 new images from the Vincenzo Natali-directed feature starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley as a pair of genetic engineers who secretly conduct their own DNA splicing experiment that results in Dren (pictured above), an amazing, strangely beautiful creature of uncommon intelligence and an array of unexpected physical developments. And though, at first, Dren exceeds their wildest dreams, she begins to grow and learn at an accelerated rate – and threatens to become their worst nightmare.
