A fun film, but also a flawed film. Personally, I enjoyed it enough to where I have no problem recommending it. Just realize it is a bit up-and-down and all over the place, has a crazy villain with a silly weapon of mass destruction and plot holes galore. Based on that it may sound like a terrible movie, and I am sure many will think so, but as a no-brainer time at the theater I had a good time with it.
You can get my full review right here and it is just one more example why I hate grading these movies. I think the review speaks for itself, but the “B-” could mean so many different things to readers, just as would have the “C+” I almost gave it. Oh well.
This film is rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action and violence, a scene of sensuality and language.
I was prepped and ready to go screen this when I realized the screening wasn’t being held at out local IMAX theater, which for some reason I had told myself it was. Considering I’ve already seen “Planet Earth” and this is more-or-less another edited down version, much like Earth, I decided to pass. I assume, anyway, this is a film for families and as such I think it will do well.
By the way, if you want to watch the trailer for the next installment in the DisneyNature releases, click here to watch the trailer for African Cats.
No way was I going to this one, just not a film that speaks to me and there are other romantic (if you can call it that) efforts I would rather give a shot, such as the upcoming Letters to Juliet. So I’ll leave this one to the audience that’s interested and let them determine its worth.
This film is rated PG-13 for sexual content including references, some crude material and language.
This one opens in New York and Los Angeles this weekend and then begins to expand. I know it hits Seattle on May 7, so hopefully I’ll be able to see it before then. If you are wondering when it is coming to your town, click here and find out. It looks like it could be entertaining, at the very least.
This film is rated R for language and a scene of sexuality.
