A couple of horror film galleries got the update today as The Weinstein Co. has finally officially sent over some still from Alexandre Aja’s (The Hills Have Eyes) Piranha 3D due out on August 27 and Warner Bros. delivered 16 additional photos from A Nightmare on Elm Street due in theaters next Friday, April 30.
Piranha 3D stars Jessica Szohr (“Gossip Girl”), Steve McQueen (“The Vampire Diaries”), Elisabeth Shue, Jerry O’Connell, Ving Rhames, Adam Scott, Richard Dreyfuss and Christopher Lloyd. The film is set on Lake Victoria where a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish and a bunch of people need to do their best not to get eaten. Based on the image above I’d say O’Connell isn’t very good at the staying alive part of the equation. You can check out the two new images from Piranha 3D right here.
