‘Trek Nation’ Documentary Looks Rather Fascinating

I am a “Star Trek” fan in as much as I love the original series and particularly enjoy The Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home as well as the latest Star Trek feature. I enjoyed “Enterprise,” but never found any enjoyment “The Next Generation” cast other than finding First Contact a solid film and I haven’t been inclined to see any of the other “Star Trek” spin-offs including “Deep Space Nine” and “Voyager”. And as much as I enjoy certain elements of the “Star Trek” universe I can’t say I wholly understand the Trekkie nation, but the upcoming documentary Trek Nation, directed by Scott Colthorp and led by “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry’s son, Rod Roddenberry, looks quite fascinating as the first trailer for the film has arrived.

The film does not yet have a release date and is still looking for distribution, but it does have an official site and the following early trailer.

Thanks to CHUD for the heads up.
