Life has published 20 never-before-seen images of Steve McQueen shot in the Spring of 1963 by John Dominis. While March offered what would have been Akira Kurosawa’s 100th birthday, born only one day and 20 years later than the late director was the undisputed King of Cool. March 24, 2010 would have been McQueen’s 80th birthday and in celebration Life offered this batch of images.
The one above leads off the bunch and is, in my opinion, the absolute best of the bunch. Though, I will say the sign in this one is an absolute classic but the picture may be a bit unsafe for work environments depending on your place of employment.
