Barry Sonnenfeld will direct The Spellman Files, the Paramount Pictures adaptation of Lisa Lutz’s novel. Variety says that Laura Ziskin (the “Spider-Man” films) is producing.
The story revolves around a single private eye who has to juggle the demands of running her family’s business with her dating life.
Simon and Schuster published the book. Bobby Florsheim and Josh Stolberg wrote the script.
