Justin Long will star in New Line Cinema’s Going the Distance, playing the lead role in the romantic comedy to be directed by Nanette Burstein.
Variety says Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are producing via their Offspring Entertainment production company
The script, written by Geoff LaTulippe, centers on a man and woman in a long-distance relationship who ultimately come to the realization that they would be happier dating someone closer to home.
LaTulippe had been a script reader at New Line for four years prior to selling the script.
