Sheen Cast as ‘Tron Legacy’ Villain and Pictured as ‘New Moon’s Aro

Today Walt Disney Pictures posted a message on Twitter saying, “Yes, Michael Sheen will have a role in Tron Legacy!” This comes as relatively no-brainer news to those that followed the Twitter back-and-forth between Sheen and his fans back in early May when the actor revealed he had been cast in a “mystery film” in which he would not be playing “a real person” and “in fact not a person at all.”

The folks at SlashFilm compiled the messages and today the rumor becomes fact.

There are no specific details on the villain in Tron Legacy outside of knowing Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), is looking into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. The film is expected to hit theaters in 2010.

However, before Tron Legacy, comes The Twilight Saga: New Moon and just recently an image detailing the folks that make up the evil Volturi has been revealed with Sheen at the head of the vampire coven.

Pictured above are Michael Sheen as Aro, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius, Dakota Fanning as Jane and Cameron Bright as Alec.

New Moon hits theaters on November 20.
