Three Clips from Tarantino’s ‘Inglourious Basterds’

Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds just screened for the first time at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival so expect plenty of quick to judge reviews to be online shortly. However, while we wait for everyone to make their snap judgments three clips from the film have arrived online and just as you would expect, I have all three for you directly below.

Inglourious Basterds is set in 1940, France is occupied and Shosanna Dreyfus (Melanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hands of the Nazi colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna manages to escape and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity for herself as a movie-theater operator. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt)organizes a group of Jewish American soldiers to perform swift, shocking acts of retribution. Later known to their enemy as “the basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of the Third Reich.

Check out the clip below and you can also browse our gallery of images from the flick by clicking here, in which I just added the behind-the-scenes shot teased above as well as hi-res versions of all the posters you have seen showing up online over the past couple of weeks.

Inglourious Basterds will hit domestic theaters on August 21.
