First Clip of Heath Ledger in ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’

Everyone loves to bring up The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus since it marks Heath Ledger’s final on screen performance, and at the same time everyone loves to act as if Terry Gilliam has always been one of their favorite directors. I guess they never saw Tideland

However, since we still don’t know what will happen with The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, as no domestic distributor has stepped up to the purchasing plate as of yet, we only have this short 16 second clip to begin our judging. Of course, it is too short to make heads or tails of it, but at least it’s something.

As for when and if we will ever see the film in U.S. theaters, Gilliam recently told The Times the planned release date was this autumn, “We want to be in that last third for the Academy Awards!” Gilliam was quoted saying. “Maybe we’ll get another award for Heath. We’re going to get as many awards as possible for him, long after he’s gone.”

Remember him now via the clip below.
