Sony Pictures Classics just emailed information on their updated For Your Consideration website which reveals the films they will be pushing this Oscar season and in what categories, and along with that gives me the change to alert you to four more Oscar contending scripts to read. They include Jenny Lumet’s acclaimed script from Rachel Getting Married, Philippe Claudel’s script for the fantastic I’ve Loved You So Long, Charlie Kaufman’s script for his directorial debut Synecdoche, New York (maybe the script will make more sense) and Courtney Hunt’s script for Frozen River which has been doing quite well lately in terms of late season recognition. All the scripts are linked below along with all previous scripts. By my count we are now up to 20 in total.
I will try to continue to maintain this list of scripts throughout the entire season and offer updates as soon as they are available. After touring all the FYC sites this appears to be everything out there at this moment.
