Nine Clips and 46 Pics from ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’

Paramount has unveiled nine clips and 46 new pictures (I love that picture above) from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and while I have made all of the clips available in this article I believe there are only two that you should watch to give you an idea of what angle the film takes on the life of a boy that grows up in reverse. This way you don’t spoil some of the more magical moments and yet it may satisfy your desire to see the film before it releases in just over two weeks. As for the pictures you can check those out in the gallery right here.

The first clip is called “I Thought I Was Like Everyone Else” and shows Benjamin as a young boy growing up in an old folks home. While he may look like the rest of the folks there you notice the life and youthful vibrancy he has even though he is still confined to a wheelchair. The moment the older gentlemen stops him from wheeling around back and forth on the porch is just priceless and gets to the heart of the story that while he may look old on the outside he is still just a youngster in his heart.

The other clip is called “Under the Table” and at the end of the clip, just the way Brad Pitt delivers the line “Maybe not” is what I absolutely love about his performance, it’s the singular moment in the clip that gives you a good idea of how Pitt approaches the character. There is a happiness inside of him and it happens many times over the course of the film.

Now, you can watch these two clips or you can watch all nine. Ideally I think you shouldn’t watch any of them. I hardly watched a trailer before I went to see the film, but I think with these two you will be fine, but there are certainly some moments among the other seven I wouldn’t have wanted to see beforehand, but that’s just me. And remember, the pictures can be found right here.
