Paramount has finally let the cat out of the bag and we have our first officially released images from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in the form of the character posters featuring the faces of Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. Up until this point we have only seen digital camera shots and a series of images accompanying editorials from the likes of the “New York Times”.
Tonight press in Los Angeles and New York will be seeing the film, which will really let loose the floodgates and help us decide if Benjamin Button is the Oscar contender everyone assumes it will be or if it will fall flat.
The film is the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards and the posters mirror that idea with backwards title art on Pitt’s poster as he takes on the title role playing a man whose story begins in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918 and moves into the 21st century. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button hits theaters on December 25, for more information click here. The posters can be seen below and you can get slightly larger versions in the gallery right here.
