Here’s To Hoping ‘Triage’ Continues Colin Farrell’s ‘Bruges’ Success

It’s hard for me to believe In Bruges doesn’t have a 100% rating at RottenTomatoes considering it is the only film of 2008 so far that I can guarantee will be on my top ten list for 2008. It’s the only 2008 film I have seen twice in theaters and if it was showing at the theater down the street from me I would pay to see it again, and possibly again. It’s funny, violent and dramatic. It has everything and even the ending (which I didn’t really like the first time) begins to work more in repeated viewings.

The key to In Bruges: Colin Farrell. Yup, the man that couldn’t attend the The New World press junket due to rehab. Well, it looks like he has his shit together and hopefully can find more scripts as tailor made for him as In Bruges was.

Colin is currently helping out Terry Gilliam as a fill in for Heath Ledger in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, is expected to star in Dirt Music for Phillip Noyce and will hopefully be seen alongside Ed Norton in Pride and Glory should New Line ever get their shit together. However, there is a new film on his slate, Triage for Bosnian helmer Danis Tanovic.

Farrell will star alongside Paz Vega and Christopher Lee in the dark tale of a photojournalist who returns home following a dangerous assignment without his colleague and best friend.

The film will shoot on location in Ireland and at the Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante in Spain from April to June.

So, keep your eyes peeled and take the time to watch a new clip from In Bruges that just showed up online. Just the way Colin says, “You two are weird,” makes me laugh every time.
