Nope, no must buys this week. I would have considered the new Bonnie and Clyde special edition, but I haven’t seen it so I can’t tell you if it is worth the upgrade, but it will lead off the list.
THIS WEEK
Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway rob banks and people die in this 1967 classic. Sounds like a reason for any movie lover to watch a movie. BUY IT AT AMAZON
I would have made this movie a must buy if it wasn’t one of those movies that you just really don’t want to watch again. The Kite Runner is fantastic and definitely worth watching once, and if you love movies I urge you to watch it at least once. However, I can’t recommend it as a buy. Domenic felt the same in his review right here. BUY IT AT AMAZON
Oh God, finally the DVD is out and we can completely forget about this mess of a film that is 100-percent intriguing until the ending when you find out the entire thing was a complete waste of time. I won’t ruin it here, but I think my theatrical review sums it up best. BUY IT AT AMAZON
This has been sitting on my coffee table for about a month now, and the only reason I haven’t put it in is because to review it would be worthless. I don’t remember the first film enough to realize what is new in this extended cut, let alone the fact that I couldn’t care. The first one was good enough, didn’t the Oscar win prove that? Oh, and good Lord, the amount of special features. I hope you love Johnny Cash, because if you don’t the second disc is a complete waste. BUY IT AT AMAZON
It was in theaters long enough to make $446,165, but I haven’t seen it. I actually would like to and wasn’t smart enough to ask for a review copy. Oh well. BUY IT AT AMAZON
A FEW MORE
- Them (a.k.a. Ils)
- April Fool’s Day (The remake)
- That ’70s Show – The Complete Series
- PTU: Police Tactical Unit
- Shrooms
- James Ellroy’s Feast of Death (This actually looks like it could be good)
Other than all that, it’s a terrible week for DVDs. Sorry.
