Columbia Pictures and MSN today launched the “Path of Illumination” contest for Angels & Demons today at AngelsAndDemons.MSN.com.
It’s a campaign that launched in 7 countries (US, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, UK), where contestants solve online puzzles themed to Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
After solving the puzzles, contestants use the Microsoft Photosynth software to explore 3D environments (Sistine Chapel, Papal offices) made out of hundreds/thousands of photos to find hidden ambigrams (of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water).
The top scorer from each country will become a finalist, and these finalists and guests are flown to the premiere in Rome. The Grand Prize winner (contestant with best overall score) wins a prize package from Sony Electronics themed to the elements Earth, Air, Fire, Water.
Angels & Demons hits theaters on May 15.
