As much as I think Jessica Alba is the problem with Hollywood as it continues to cast untalented pretty faces as opposed to talent regardless of looks there is no denying Jessica’s beauty breast size, preggers or not, and she was on hand to present Saturday night’s Scientific and Technical Awards, a.k.a. the Oscars no one remembers. All things considered, this is a momentous event as I can guarantee this is the closest Alba will ever get to winning an Oscar.
As USA Today puts it, “the Academy of Motion Picture Arts kept its Scientific and Technical Awards dinner Saturday night as charmingly unglamorous as ever. A magician provided the pre-meal entertainment, Jessica Alba showed up to present the awards — and be gawked at — and nerddom was held up as something to celebrate.”

In other news, with the end of the writers’ strike in sight (Wednesday hopefully) Academy President Sid Ganis was said to be quite giddy as it appears the Oscars may go on without a hitch. USA Today quoted him saying, “Hopefully, I’ll be getting a call on my cellphone from those who are involved in all this,” Ganis said. “If we have a go, then I’ll call (telecast producer) Gil (Cates) right away. … I can’t wait. I so hope we can say ‘Plan A.”‘
This really is the best news of the strike ending in my opinion.
