Brad Renfro’s career began with a well-received turn in the successful John Grisham thriller, The Client. It unfortunately ended last night after the 25-year-old actor was found dead in his home in Los Angeles. The cause of death is not immediately known but it is known that the trouble young actor was dealing with drug addiction.
This just plain sucks. I always liked Renfro as an actor. He starred in one of my favorite sleeper picks, Telling Lies in America. If you haven’t seen this movie, I urge you to seek it out; along with the Bryan Singer film, Apt Pupil, it features his best work.
Renfro’s last film will be The Informers, based on the Brett Easton Ellis novel.
