I have never seen an episode of “Gilmore Girls” and I don’t intend to and as far as Alexis Bledel is concerned the only film I have seen her in would be her tiny part in Sin City as a street walker named Becky. Outside of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Bledel hasn’t exactly made a mark in movies, but she isn’t going to stop trying as she has signed on to star in the comedy Ticket to Ride for director Vicky Jenson over at Fox Atomic.
The 26-year-old acturess will play Ryden Malby, a college grad who is forced to move back into her childhood home with her eccentric family while she attempts to find a job, the right guy and some direction for her life.
The project is budgeted at $15 million and will begin shooting in December from a Kelly Fremon screenplay.
Bledel will be seen next year as Lena in Traveling Pants 2, the sequel set for an August 2008 release.
