I have only seen one episode of “X-Files” in my life and never saw the movie, so my personal interest in this news is very slim to say the least, but ComingSoon is reporting that all of David Duchovny‘s chatter over the past 300 years that there will be an X-Files 2 has finally come true. Nine years after the original was released by 20th Century Fox shooting is scheduled to begin on December 10 in Vancouver under the direction of series creator Chris Carter. Carter and Frank Spotnitz wrote the script.
Duchovny will return as special agent Mulder and Gillian Anderson is expected to also return as Agent Dana Scully. Story wise there haven’t been any details, which is quite impressive considering how much Duchovny has spoken about this movie over the years.
ComingSoon reports that the studio is referring to the film as Done One in casting breakdowns.
