As the market is becoming absolutely saturated with home videos with special edition DVDs, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs it is time to open up the RopeofSilicon alley ways and get a few fresh faces in here to review some of the upcoming titles, and getting the post is pretty easy.
Here are the details with regard to what is required:
- First and foremost you must know how to write. Spelling and grammatical errors are something we are not looking for. This does not mean you must have prior writing experience, just that you do indeed know how to write.
- You will need a moderate level of knowledge of film and DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray-related technology and terminology depending on which format you will want to review. Home theater setups are preferable and are required for HD DVD and Blu-ray reviewers.
- A love for film is a must and depending on your love and film knowledge will certainly open you to a larger list of potential titles to review.
- Entertaining writing is always a plus, we are looking for people with personality that aren’t interested in only going through the motions.
- No HTML is required as all reviews will be required to be submitted via Microsoft Word.
- You must be at least 17-years-old and live in the United States to apply.
You can know now that this is currently a non-paying job, but you will get the following:
- All DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray discs you review will be yours to keep. So the more you review the larger that library gets.
- You will be starting your own online portfolio and display your writing to the world. Once a few reviews are in the system Googling your name will be a lot more fun.
- Of course you will also become part of the small, but fun, RopeofSilicon team, equipped with your very own @ropeofsilicon.com email address.
