UPDATE: The Los Angeles Times is now reporting the story saying:
Detectives decided to set a trap for the suspect. They e-mailed the suspect, saying they were interested in purchasing the photos, and set up a meeting at the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood for Tuesday afternoon, according to a law enforcement source.
When a man arrived, undercover detectives began negotiating for the photos before identifying themselves and arresting the man on suspicion of receiving stolen property, Whitmore said. Roderick Davis, 37, of Cerritos also was being held on suspicion of violating his parole, Whitmore said.
According to FilmSchoolRejects all the stolen Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull photos, computers and goodies from an undisclosed Paramount Pictures office have been recovered as thieves were apprehended Wednesday, October 3rd at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles, CA around 4:00pm PST.
Oddly this information isn’t being reported anywhere else to my knowledge so I can’t say with 100% certainty that this story is true since the original story was reported across all media outlets. Stay tuned and once more outlets begin reporting the story this article will be updated.
The news was originally reported on Tuesday.
