Picking the best movie villains of all-time is tricky. While this might seem like an easy list to create there were a few things that I had to think about concerning a few of my favorite baddies. Take for example Tony Montana from Scarface and Michael Corleone from The Godfather II. These two guys aren’t good guys, that is for damn sure, but are they villains? I see these two guys as anti-heroes and I might have to start a new top ten for just that topic because it pained me to leave either of them off this one.
Then I had a couple of personal favs that I wish I could have included that fell short. Names like Bill ‘The Butcher’ Cutting (Gangs of New York), Simon Gruber (Die Hard With a Vengeance and that big ol’ fish Jaws. I also had a couple of oldies on the list with the Wicked Witch and Norman Bates, but they just couldn’t make it.
The last honorable mention that fell just short was T2‘s T-1000, while he might have been ahead of his time visual effects wise he just wasn’t good enough to crack the top ten.
So who did actually make it? I am sure several of these won’t surprise any of you, but I hope I was able to throw a couple of curve balls at you as some of my favs are sure to be a bit different than yours.
