Brosnan in ‘The Big Biazarro’

Vondie Curtis-Hall last wrote and directed the lackluster Waist Deep but there seems to be faith in the filmmaker out of Pierce Brosnan‘s Irish DreamTime camp as the actor has set Curtis-Hall to write and direct The Big Biazarro for Brosnan to star in.

Along with Irish DreamTime MMP’s Phil Maloof and Andrew Jameson are aboard to produce that adaptation of the Leonard Wise novel which is set in the high-stakes world of international gambling, and Brosnan will play an elusive veteran card player who mentors a headstrong but talented protege.

Outside of television Curtis-Hall has found time to direct episodes of the Golden Globe nominated “Sleeper Cell” and “The Shield.”

Brosnan was last seen in the great little pic The Matador and is busy developing a sequel to The Thomas Crown Affair. Brosnan was quoted saying, “When you have a role like Bond, it becomes your life, and the time always went quickly between films. We managed to make six films over the last 10 years, but with Bond no longer in my life, it allows me more time and choices, and the chance to be adventuresome. I’ve been in all our projects so far, and I’d like to try just being the producer on some of these projects.”
