Patrick Stewart Voicing ‘Ninja Turtles’

The Patrick Stewart fansite ThePSN has learned that the old Enterprise captain has earned himself a voiceover role in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film TMNT.

Stewart will voice the character Max Winters in the CGI pic and the site gives us this description of how it will all play out:

In this film, after the defeat of their old arch nemesis, The Shredder, the Turtles have grown apart as a family. Struggling to keep them together, their sensei, Master Splinter, becomes worried when strange things begin to happen in New York City. Tech-industrialist Max Winters goes mad after he was wrongfully fired and begins amassing an army of ancient monsters. Realizing his plan is succeeding, he is no longer satisfied with vengeance against his ex-employer, but now has thirst for World Domination.

This is the first extensive word on the film’s plotline we have received, and the site also says that TMNT is set for a March 30, 2007 release, which was previously believed to be March 23 and that is what the official site still reads. The film is under the direction of Kevin Munroe. Stewart is the first bit of voice casting we have learned for the picture, and you can check out some character art here along with both of the trailers released for the film here.
