Paramount Vantage Gets Thrilled by ‘Fracture’

Paramount Pictures’ indie wing, Paramount Vantage, as snatched up the rights to Alan McElroy’s psychological thriller Fracture, a story revolving around a man whose wife and children disappear into an emergency room, seemingly never to return.

The thrills in the script apparently come from what Vantage head Amy Israle calls a peek into “our collective anxiety about hospitals.”

McElroy most recently co-wrote The Marine, starring WWE star John Cena, with Michelle Gallagher. The Marine is now in theaters and has managed $12.6 million in its first two weeks. McElroy also penned Wrong Turn and Resident Evil for Fox and Sony respectively.
