Anyone out there wondering what Vadim Perelman has been doing since House of Sand and Fog? No? No one? Well, after his name dropped off a feature film adaptation of Stephen King’s “Talisman” his name wasn’t exactly being batted around too much, but his name popped up again as he is directing a thriller called In Bloom with Uma Thurman and Evan Rachel Wood.
The picture finds Wood plaing a younger version of Thurman’s character, Diana, a teenager who witnesses a high school shooting. Fifteen years later, unable to recover from her survivor’s guilt, her grip on reality begins to break, leading the adult Diana (Thurman) to face a shocking truth.
The picture is expected to begin filming on August 14.
