ROMANO TAPPED FOR NICK MOVIE
Ray Romano has signed on to star in an untitled comedy for Paramount and Nickelodean Movies. The plot details of the picture are being kept quiet as Dean Lorey is writing the screenplay.

Apparently the pic will incorporate ideas from Lorey’s original pitch and a remake project already in development at Paramount titled Father Knows Best, which centers on a child who enters his dad in a Father of the Year contest and fudges his credentials so he will win. The father vows to tell the truth when he goes to pick up his award, but when he gets a look at the beautiful woman in charge of the contest, he gets tongue-tied and continues the ruse.
