I thought the first season of “The O.C.” was great, the second season was a bit wishy washy but still tolerable… none of my opinion was based on the “talent” of actress Mischa Barton, personally I think she is a terrible actress and her character on the show is about as annoying as one can be. That said, when I see reports like this I can only laugh because it just can’t be true… It can’t be.
Thanks to Egotastic I was alerted of an article over at The Post Chronicle stating that Mischa is at the top of the list when it comes to casting Supergirl.
The quote in the article is attributed to a “movie insider” making it less than reputable, but here is how it reads:
In recent news, the lovely Mischa’s career is looking to the heights, as she is apparently at the top of a list of candidates to bring Supergirl back to the big screen.
“If Superman Returns does as well as expected this summer then Supergirl will be pushed into the schedule,” reveals one movie insider. “There are a few actresses in the reckoning and Mischa is at the top of that list.”
“If Superman Returns does as well as expected”? How can they possibly guage the potential success of Supergirl based on the success of Superman Returns? They are two separate entities, and will be made for two separate audiences.
I have to call bullshit on this one, but then again worse decisions have been made, but the phrase, “…and Mischa Barton as Supergirl,” just sounds ridiculous, and that is putting it nicely.
