The ‘300’ Website is Live

Sin City was great wasn’t it? Well, along with Sin City 2 there is another Frank Miller graphic novel getting turned into a feature film… 300. The film stars Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Vincent Regan, Rodrigo Santoro and Dominic West and is being directed by Zack Snyder, the man behind the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Why am I bringing all this up? Because the official site for the film has just gone live and it has production blogs from director Zack Snyder, concept art, the synopsis (seen below) and will have video journals just like Peter Jackson did for King Kong.

I have posted the synopsis below along with a shot of concept art, but click here to check out everything over at the official site.

Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious
retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas
(Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against
Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their
valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian
enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller’s
(Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live
action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of
this ancient historic tale.
