Napoleon Falls for Scarlett

This isn’t exactly new news considering Scarlett Johansson was first mentioned as part of the Napoleon and Betsy project back in March of 2004 when it had a home at Lions Gate Films, but now the feature is away from the gate and has a writer and director in the form of Benjamin Ross.

The film tells the story of the Napoleon’s final years, as seen through the eyes of an English girl with whom he falls in love. Initially defiant and planning to escape, Bonaparte tries to enlist her in his fantasy to regrasp power, but eventually becomes resigned to his fate.

The part of Napoleon is not yet cast.
