Sony is pushing two movies this coming Oscar season. The first was Rent, a movie I had no interest in, the second is Memoirs of a Geisha and this one is a different story.
Based on the bestselling novel by Arthur Golden the film centers on a Japanese child as she is torn from her family to work as a maid in a geisha house. Zhang Ziyi stars in this featured role along with Ken Watanabe and Michelle Yeoh.
