Viggo Mortensen is in negotiations to join the cast of Spanish language feature Teresa for novelist Ray Loriga to direct.
The feature is a “near-psychedelic vision of the raptures and writings of a towering figure, Spain proto-feminist mystic saint Teresa of Avila.” The sexy Paz Vega who you may remember from James L. Brooks’ Spanglish will be playing Teresa, Mortensen will play a cleric. Victoria Abril and Leonor Watling have also earned spots in the cast.
Filming is set to begin November 21 in Spain.
