Well I think it is safe to say that Peter Jackson’s King Kong is going to absolutely dominate the month of December as, even now in October, the marketing machine is moving full steam ahead. As I am sure there will be a multitude of promotional opportunities coming in the future we now have some of your first looks at the videogame based on the film and then some.
The King Kong videogame is said to give gamers the opportunity to delve deeper into the film experience through alternative viewpoints designed to immerse the player into the action and truly “feel” the tension of the adventure and you can see exactly what I am talking about in the screenshots at the end of this article.
The game will offer up the chance to battle for survival on Skull Island in first-person as Jack Driscoll and in third-person taking on massive beasts. Weta assets have been fully integrated into the game giving it a cinematic approach to its gameplay including full cast likeness and immersion into the dynamic King Kong universe.
Along with the images featured below we also have links to a demo of the game for the PC, sounds of the game and a dynamic screensaver that fully integrates music, screenshots, and news updates directly into it. Both of those items are available for download at the following links:
SOUNDS OF THE GAME
There is not an exact release date set for the game as of yet, but I am sure it will coincide nicely with the December 14th release of the movie. It will be available on all platforms and is expecting a “T” rating from the ESRB.
