Honestly, I sort of enjoyed both Fast and the Furious and even 2 Fast 2 Furious, therefore the idea of a Fast and the Furious 3 wasn’t exactly something I was ready to dismiss… until today.
At first I thought the third (and most likely last) film in the franchise would be made up of a cast of unknowns and unknowns alone, but apparently they got the next best thing… Lil’ Bow Wow. Yup, the “rapper” turned actor is now continuing on his quest to be a movie star in Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo.
Joining Bark Bark will be Lucas Black, whose career has turned out far better than the little pup. Black has been seen in such features as Friday Night Lights, Cold Mountain and Sling Blade and will also be featured in Universal’s upcoming war time flick Jarhead.
Fast and Furious 3 is set in the underground world of Japanese drift racing, the newest and fastest customized rides go head-to-head on some of the most perilous courses ever seen.
Zap2It, who brings us the news, got the official word from Bow Wow himself who said, “It starts filming in the first week of October… After [promoting Roll Bounce] I go to Europe for a week and then I’m back over here for three and a half months. Then we’re over in Tokyo and Japan for three and half weeks.”
Bow Wow also insists he will be on the soundtrack for the flick, which means I am now getting excited all over again. For those that can’t see my eyes rolling right now that was sarcasm.
