Pullman Spoofs ‘Independence Day’?

Production Weekly has some interesting news about quasi-British celebs and movie projects today. The celebs in question are Ant and Dec, if you already know who I’m talking about then you probably know the succession line for the royal family too. The news itself is interesting though, I’ll let Production Weekly take it away;

Bill Pullman and Harry Dean Stanton have joined the cast of Alien Autopsy the new feature showcasing the acting talents of the diminutive British TV presenters Ant and Dec. Alien Autopsy is a comedy about two friends who make a spoof documentary which they claim is footage of a secret autopsy on an extra-terrestrial. The film marks the feature debut of Jonny Campbell, the acclaimed director of the hit Channel 4 series Shameless. The script is by Will Davies. Production will begin next month in Los Angeles and London.

Ant (Anthony Mcpartlin) and Dec (Declan Donnelly) are household names in the UK. They first met as child actors on the BBC series Byker Grove.

This sounds a bit like Dog Show meets Independence Day. As a fan of British satire in general I’ll be keeping a look out for this project.
