I will be the first one to tell you that Alexander was a bad film, and I can certainly understand putting down a few fifths of JD after all the bad reviews, but Oliver Stone seems to have taken things a bit further as Reuters is reporting that the Academy Award-winning director was arrested on drunken driving and drug charges at a police checkpoint in Beverly Hills, California.
According to Sgt. John Edmundson, a spokesman for the Beverly Hills police department Stone was one of nine arrests at the checkpoint set up as part of a statewide crackdown on drunken driving during the Memorial Day weekend.
The details on his intoxication level or the type of drug in question were not revealed, but Reuters does go on to mention that Stone entered a court order rehab program after a 1999 arrest on driving while intoxicated and drug possession charges.
