DVD Download: #6

Let me begin by apologizing for the tardiness of this week’s DVD Download, but I was simply hoping more titles would come down the pike and unfortunately it ended up being a slow week wiht only six new titles, but I do believe next week will be quite impressive as I already know of several PSP titles that will be added to the database coming out of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, but for now let’s get to this week’s titles.

First off is this week’s heavy hitter, Constantine, while I had artwork for this title a while ago, it wasn’t until this week that Warner officially set the release date at July 19th for either the single disc edition and the 2-Disc Deluxe Edition.

As far as special features go the Deluxe Edition is loaded with them, and I have detailed the specs below. The Deluxe Edition is undoubtedly the way to go when purchasing this title, and you can preorder it right now by clicking here.

Next up is the Kevin Costner, Joan Allen, Erika Christensen, Evan Rachel Wood, Keri Russell and Alicia Witt flick The Upside of Anger. This comedic drama follows a suburban wife and mother who is left to raise her four headstrong daughters when her husband unexpectedly disappears. In the unnecessary file come another edition of Dodgeball, this time it is Unrated an entire 60 seconds more added to it. That’s right one whole minute.

While I don’t know much about this title Sony Pictures is releasing a Director’s Cut as well as a Gift Pack version of the animated feature Steamboy on July 26th. As of right now I don’t know anything as far as special features go, but I do know that the Gift Set will include the Director’s Cut of the film as well as a Collectible Booklet, Postcards, and a Mini-Comicbook.

Along with the not knowing anything about the special features section comes an Unrated version of Not Another Teen Movie, as if once wasn’t enough Sony feels it is necessary and will earn a few dollars so look for this on on July 26th, we hope to have more info soon.

And finally, capping off this week of not knowing much comes the release date for the box-office flop Man of the House starring Tommy Lee Jones and a bunch of little cheerleaders, I wonder why this one did poorly… hmmmmmmm.
