You have heard the rumors and now Variety has confirmed them announcing Gore Verbinski has agreed to direct the sequel to this summer’s box-office smash Pirates of the Caribbean for Walt Disney Pictures.
Known cast members returning are Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley.
A start date was not announced.
