New Sony Pictures flick, Hellboy, due for release in April 2004 has just activated the official website.
Filled with Hellboy information and wallpapers showing all the various characters in the Hellboy story it is a site worth the visit.
Hellboy is Dark Horse Comics’ popular, cult superhero making the leap from the comic book pages to the big screen. As envisioned by action auteur Guillermo Del Toro, Hellboy will be brought to life through the combined efforts of special effects master Rick Baker and actor Ron Perlman. Born in the flames of hell, and brought to our world in a pagan ritual, the fierce red hero, Hellboy (Perlman), was saved by his friend and mentor, the benevolent Dr. Broom. Raised in Broom’s Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, Hellboy joins the likes of the ‘Mer-Man’ Abe Sapien (Jones), Liz Sherman (Blair), the woman he loves who can psychically control fire, and Myers (Evans), the FBI agent who is his rival for Liz’s affections. Together, our heroes must come to terms with fantastic powers that prove to be both a blessing and a curse. In the process they discover that their abilities serve to benefit mankind but may also keep them forever isolated from the society that only they can protect.
