Disney has picked up Mongoose, an action comedy from writers Edwin Cannistraci and Frederick Seton, says The Hollywood Reporter. Tapestry’s Peter Abrams, Robert L. Levy and Andrew Panay are producing.
Brian Sher, who developed the idea with the writers and brought the project to Tapestry, also will produce.
The logline for the pitch is being kept under wraps, though it has been described as having franchise potential and being in the tone of the “Beverly Hill Cop” and “Austin Powers” films.
