Chris Marquette and Cam Gigandet are starring in Kid Cannabis, the true tale of Idaho suburbanites who built a multimillion-dollar marijuana ring. The Hollywood Reporter says the film is being directed by John Stockwell.
Marquette plays the title character and Gigandet is his best friend, running marijuana from Canada into Idaho and making a killing. The feds eventually are alerted to the scheme, and the two realize they might be in over their heads.
Aaron Yoo (21) also has been cast.
Stockwell wrote the script for the film, which starts shooting in Vancouver on July 14.
