Variety reports that 20th Century Fox has preemptively bought Mike Arnold and Chris Poole’s script Beaujolais for Bobby and Peter Farrelly to produce through their Conundrum production company as a potential directing vehicle.
The project has been dubbed a redneck action-adventure with a protagonist along the lines of an Austin Powers or Ace Ventura.
Conundrum’s Bradley Thomas is producing alongside the Farrellys.
“We haven’t stepped up and done something like us in a while,” Bobby Farrelly said. “Everything sort of aligned for us on this project.”
