Bobby Coleman will play a boy who befriends a robot on the run from malevolent corporate interests in Robosapien: Rebooted, which has begun filming in New Orleans, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The cast also includes Penelope Ann Miller, David Eigenberg, Holliston Coleman, Joaquim de Almeida and Kim Coates.
Avi Arad and Steven Paul are producing the movie, based on Wow Wee’s Robosapien remote-controlled robot, under their respective Arad Prods. and Crystal Sky Pictures.
Senn McNamara (Bratz) is directing the script by Arad and Max Botkin.
