New Regency Productions has acquired the rights to best-selling author Brandon Mull’s latest, “The Candy Shop War.” The movie will be distributed by Fox. No producer has yet been attached to the project.
The story revolves around four kids who learn that their town’s candy shop owner is a wicked magician in search of an ancient talisman rumored to be the source of eternal youth.
Regency bought the rights less than a month after “Candy Shop’s” Sept. 11 publishing.
