Ben Kingsley, Meagan Good and John Oliver (“The Daily Show With John Stewart”) will star opposite Mike Myers, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Alba in the Paramount Pictures comedy The Love Guru.
In a role befitting a British knight, Kingsley plays Guru Tugginmypudha, the ashram leader who teaches the title character (Myers) how to love himself and how to wear a chastity belt.
Good plays Prudence, the woman who leaves Toronto Maple Leafs player Darren Roanoke (Romany Malco) for his French-Canadian hockey nemesis, Jacques Grande (Timberlake).
Oliver plays manager Dick Pants, whose goal is to get the Love Guru on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to settle a rivalry between his client and Deepak Chopra.
Alba plays the Maple Leafs manager, who enlists the Love Guru’s services to restore Roanoke’s mojo after Prudence betrays him. Verne Troyer plays the team coach.
Marco Schnabel will direct “Love Guru” from a screenplay by Graham Gordy and Myers. Michael De Luca, Donald J. Lee Jr. and Myers serve as producers on the Spyglass Entertainment production.
The film begins shooting Friday in Toronto. It’s scheduled to hit theaters June 20.
